Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons.... John Crowther's Cartoon Odyssey

I think of it as The Fool's Journey. I've been asked who the "fool" is. It's me, but in the classical sense of the court jester. Only the fool was allowed to tell the king of his follies. All cartoons are available as prints or originals, framed or unframed, through my website or e-mail. Tarot, Tarot, Tarot

What an honor and thrill to be chosen as Time's Man of the Year this year because of my efforts in putting my work up on the Internet. When a friend told me it was actually along with several million other website owners, bloggers, filmmakers, teeny boppers at MySpace, publishers of on-line newsletters, spammers, and e-zines I didn't believe him, and rushed out to buy a copy. (You'd have thought Time could at least have sent me a copy for free.) Sure enough, I was right, there was my picture on the cover staring back at me. There's just no living with me anymore.

(Note: it was called to my attention that my website and e-mail address were not, as I'd believed, on my bio page here. The situation has been rectified, in case anyone cares to e-mail me directly or look at other work of mine. I still, however, have not posted my favorite song.)

John C., hate to burst your bubble but I was choosen 'Person of the Year'. An honor that I richly deserve, I might add. I am waiting for my free copy to come through the mail as I am sure that it is winging its way to me even now as we speak. I did email their website that I would not give interviews as I am a recluse although they have my permission to publish my email containing a 'thanks you so much and very grateful for the honor. blah, blah, blah.' Don't worry, I will recommend you for 2007 as I assume I will be best buddies with the editor now.

Love the candle on the table with the cards, just the right touch for the atmosphere. This is a great cartoon.

Just tell me the future please. What stock will go up, will I meet a rich, wonderful, sexy partner who loves me to death despite all my failings, and will I live a long healthful live? Give me three guaranteed positives to these questions and I will consider it a good value for the $50 that has crossed your palm :-) Otherwise, I may, tomorrow, be influenced by your next door competitor's neon sign!
