Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons.... John Crowther's Cartoon Odyssey
I think of it as The Fool's Journey. I've been asked who the "fool" is. It's me, but in the classical sense of the court jester. Only the fool was allowed to tell the king of his follies. All cartoons are available as prints or originals, framed or unframed, through my website or e-mail. this is a good one and sums up what I often wonder about concerning artist and families. Could this be a member of his family who does not take his art seriously as he probably does not make a lot of money out of sidewalk art. Often families measure art by the money generated but haste to say not all families. Always had a soft spot for Van Gogh's brother who believed in him despite the lack of sales.
Good one, Lee, with just a few word you wrote an entire - and profound - essay.
ooh. color!
Everyone needs a Theo in their life... Vincent didn't know how lucky he was. That kind of loyalty doesn't happen often.
