Water Water Everywhere
I readily admit that I'm a disaster when it comes to care of plants. Simple watering is beyond me. It's always either too little or too much, and within days they're croaking. What makes it unfortunate is that I not only like plants, I anthropomorphize them and thus feel guilty and remorseful for days after they die. I've attempted vegetable gardens, done everything by the book, and ended up with the most pathetic results imaginable. I'll spend weeks turning soil, fertilizing, watering, tending, all the while looking forward to the bounty that will grace my table, and in the end sit down to a side dish of three sorry stringbeans. It's why we have supermarkets.

I live in a jungle. Since my husband won't let me have anything but one dog, and my co-dependent tendencies dictate that I have to nurture SOMETHING, I take in sick plants for friends, and nurse them back to health.
There are some plants, though, that are virtually indestructible. I have a peace lily that I've had for 25 years. Other easy to care for plants include the Christmas Cactus, the cast-iron plant, the lady palm and Spathiphyllum.
And if none of those work, you can always get an air fern!
But I do recommend LOTS of indoor plants. Besides bringing the outdoors in, and the peaceful feelings that can invoke, they also serve as great air purifiers, filtering out noxious fumes.
