Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons.... John Crowther's Cartoon Odyssey

I think of it as The Fool's Journey. I've been asked who the "fool" is. It's me, but in the classical sense of the court jester. Only the fool was allowed to tell the king of his follies. All cartoons are available as prints or originals, framed or unframed, through my website or e-mail. Oh John... I am so very sorry. This is a time when words can never be enough. But know that my thoughts are with you at this sad time.

John-
Your Heavenly cooking kept him with you a year longer than the Vet could have imagined. Now father, Killer, has another of his pups to play ball with, maybe enough for a full ball team to compete in the Heavenly World Series! Let's hope Mom, Desiree, doesn't nag him too much. But, maybe she is still raising Hell in that other place.
Love, Rico

Thanks, Jean and Rico. At the end Leonardo couldn't have been more peaceful, lying on his bed with me petting him. The perfect end to his perfect life. You're right, Rico, they're all up there now playing ball with Desiree snapping at their heels.

It is with mixed feelings that I see this cartoon tonight. Sadness and comfort both for Leonardo running through my mind. He did indeed have a wonderful life and gave you back so much love as well that memories of him will always be there to comfort you.
