Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons.... John Crowther's Cartoon Odyssey

I think of it as The Fool's Journey. I've been asked who the "fool" is. It's me, but in the classical sense of the court jester. Only the fool was allowed to tell the king of his follies. All cartoons are available as prints or originals, framed or unframed, through my website or e-mail. The Skin of Our Teeth

My new computer, tricked out with Windows Vista operating system, reminded me this morning that when it comes to technology we're hanging by a thread. When I first tried turning it on I got a message that "Windows was unable to start." Several minutes ensued while diagnostics automatically tried to fix the problem and I turned blue from holding my breath. It finally got going again, but not before I spent what seemed like an eternity staring forlornly into the long dark hole of communications isolation.

Thanks, Roger. Actually, I've had Macs, and they crashed just as much as PC's do.

A rose by any other name still smells like a bloody petunia. I now have a MacBook which is just great... but my last Mac had a mind of it's own. I feel more at home on a PC but I won't talk about it here as the operating platform I am now using may be listening and could spontaneously shut down... freeze up... or defiantly decide to up sticks and give up the ghost altogether if it gets so much as a whiff of treachery or perfidious conduct... so I shut my mouth and rest my case. When it comes to technology we should be grateful for small mercies! LOL

Great cartoon btw John. Fits perfectly with the techno commentary... and for some perverse reason reminds me of the future of aviation joke. One pilot not two in the cockpit... and one dog. The dog is there to bite the pilot if he touches anything. LOL
