Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons.... John Crowther's Cartoon Odyssey

I think of it as The Fool's Journey. I've been asked who the "fool" is. It's me, but in the classical sense of the court jester. Only the fool was allowed to tell the king of his follies. All cartoons are available as prints or originals, framed or unframed, through my website or e-mail. Drink Up

Big spat going on in my neighborhood. A local watering hole wants to open at 9 in the morning and is seeking to extend its liquor license. A group of folks is up in arms, convinced that the streets will be filled with drunks. They've managed to ignore the fact that there are two convenience stores within a few yards of the pub, both selling cheap-ass booze. And never mind that the streets aren't filled with drunks after noon, when the place now opens. People are seriously weird.

Am I crazy or has this cartoon been on the site before? Nevermind, it is so good that it would be worth repeating 5 times or more. Love the Jeremy one of a few days ago, Notice that my computer has been editing my replies once again. Who do I speak to in order to protest the editing of my free speech (grin)

Thanks, Lee, I'm delighted it has your vote of confidence, but this is the first time for this cartoon. It is, however, just the latest of a series of cartoons over the past years and months than have to do with sots coming home at night in a state somewhat short of laudable sobriety. It does seem to be a bottomless pit that I shall continue to mine. As for free speech, it may be one of those tricks they play on us, like Friendly Skies.
