Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons.... John Crowther's Cartoon Odyssey

I think of it as The Fool's Journey. I've been asked who the "fool" is. It's me, but in the classical sense of the court jester. Only the fool was allowed to tell the king of his follies. All cartoons are available as prints or originals, framed or unframed, through my website or e-mail. Eating Is Believing

"I always feel like a god when I come home," said the disgruntled, dyspeptic diner, "because there's always a burnt offering waiting for me at dinner time."

Harley and Bear never fail to deliver!

Wouldn't it be an amazing thing for the homeless to be able to go "home" for thanksgiving? It should be the fundamental right of each and every person on the planet to have a roof over their head. The fact that homelessness is endemic in countries where it needn't be so is a sad indictment on our society. But then I guess... there is the flip side. There's been a lot of press here lately about certain groups here - not allowed to mention - who have been given homes to live in (at huge expense to taxpayers) and they are trashed in no time. It's hard to know how to fix something that's so broken. Sorry for rambling... it's the time of year I guess

You can "ramble" just as much and as often as you like, especially (but by no means exclusively) when I agree with you. You're so right about homelessness, the more horrendous when you think of the trillions being spent on killing people.

Totally agree with Harley and Bear. Nothing is worse that green beans in mushroom soup unless it is the green jello with little unidentified things in it. Age old problem, how does one help the deserving without enabling the layabouts. Everyone will be happy to note that now our government in it's wisdom has decided that there should be a war tax inflected on the taxpayers. I have a better idea, lets bring our soldiers home and concentrate on keeping them safe over here. No such thing as a 'righteous war'
