Insourcing Anyone?
The scary thing about outsourcing things like war is that it turns the job over to the corporate mentality. In the corporate structure about seventy-five percent of everyone's energy is spent in-fighting, the idea being to make your fellow employees look bad while you politic and maneuver and backstab to get your immediate superior's position. In the military you try to do your job and stay as anonymous as possible. It's way more efficient. Also you don't have Pfc.'s turning in padded expense accounts.

Who was the corporate genius --was it Cheney?-- who came up with the notion that if you could lobby the government to get rid of the old Quatermasters Corps and the cooks, then outsource all that to Haliburton and KFC, not only could you make a fortune on the sale of munitions, you could triple your profits by supplying food and recreational supplies as well. Those who benefit from this larghesse then fill your election campaign coffers and a good time is had by all ... almost all, all except the poor National Guardsmen and women who have to fight your wars for you when they're not shopping in the PX and buying home-style burgers and fries.
We've come to a new low.
First time we have seen Jeremy's father. Great cartoon, John C.
Thanks, Lee, but actually Jeremy's dad did put in an appearance at least once before, albeit not in a speaking role.
