Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons.... John Crowther's Cartoon Odyssey

I think of it as The Fool's Journey. I've been asked who the "fool" is. It's me, but in the classical sense of the court jester. Only the fool was allowed to tell the king of his follies. All cartoons are available as prints or originals, framed or unframed, through my website or e-mail. As Much Fun As a Barrel of Writers

I think I've finally answered the question of what happened to all the typewriters once everyone switched over to computers. I think I was one of the early writers to give up the "instrument of torture" in favor of a computer, back when most writers I knew were still highly resistant. They came up with the most lame rationales. One even told me he would hate to miss the "satisfying thwack of the keys."

Congratulations on the cartoon, a study in perspective worthy of Ucello and Della Francesca, and let's not overlook the distinctly recognizable expressions on each and every simian, calling to mind the ceremonial paintings of the great artists of the School of Venice --Bellini and Mojito.

My suspicion is that if the chimps were using PCS with SpellCheck we'd have a deal by now.

I still enjoy the satisfying "thwack" of old fashioned keys... so can really relate. There is something altogether too slick and effortless about modern day keyboards! LOL

Not to mention, Jean, the calories expended with all the kinetic energy required to move those keys. Little wonder there's an obesity problem nowadays. [grin]
