Quiet Or You'll Wake the Chef

I Timothy 6:7 says, "For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out." We like to make a big deal out of birthdays to alleviate the gloom of being reminded once a year that we're somewhere between nothing and nothing.

I much prefer another biblical idea, the one that says God created Man out of the dust. (“Dust we are and dust we shall return.”) Dust is something you can touch, something you can vacuum, whereas nothingness is just too empty a concept for my taste.
