Sua Culpa
In the interest of full disclosure, I've discovered that the voiceover cartoon from a few days ago was strikingly similar to one in the New Yorker from 2001. The friend who had suggested it to me had got the idea from someone else, who probably had heard it from somewhere else. The anecdote very likely had been passed along from actor to actor repeatedly in the intervening years, but the incident exemplifies why it's unwise to accept outside ideas for cartoons, something I rarely do.

I suspect it happens more often than we realise John. Wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Ideas circulate around and around until everyone's forgotten who had the idea in the first place... that's why an "idea" can't be copyrighted.
Oops... and back to Harley & Bear... so glad they'll be getting a place of their own! They're a couple of cool dudes those two with a laid back attitude that could teach us all a thing or two about faith and endurance! Great stuff John.
Hope spring eternal in Harley and Bear. Long may they live and dream!
PS, should read 'springs'. Love this cartoon, John C.
