Our leaders seems to believe the way out of our economic mess is to get everyone spending again, but there's something awfully unseemly to me about a government functioning as a marketing arm of big business. Back in the "Big Depression" the concern was the survival of the working man. Now it's the survival of the fat cats.

What happens in this cash for clunkers program when one has traded in a car does not a payment each month; now in 45 days has to start making payment on the new auto? Do we start a bail out for persons who have an auto payment but can not afford it? Can I go back in time and vote for Hillary? Never mind if the poor sod is walking once they repossess the auto. The fat cats will have already gotten their bonuses.
PS Forgot to say, my vote is with Harley. Great cartoon!
Sad to say though... without big business there IS no business. It would be good though if integrity were to make a comeback and big business found a moral compass. Pigs might fly (or get the flu) before that'll ever happen though I guess...
