Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons.... John Crowther's Cartoon Odyssey

I think of it as The Fool's Journey. I've been asked who the "fool" is. It's me, but in the classical sense of the court jester. Only the fool was allowed to tell the king of his follies. All cartoons are available as prints or originals, framed or unframed, through my website or e-mail. Ear Today, Gone Tomorrow

"The imagination of a boy is healthy, and the mature imagination of a man is healthy, but there is a space of life between, in which the soul is in ferment, the character undecided, the way of life uncertain, the ambition thicksighted." John Keats, Preface to Endymion, 1818.

I've coached high school boys as well as 5th and 6th graders. This season, for the first time, I'm coaching 13 and 14 year olds and I can attest that no words are truer.

As a mom I found 14 to be a challenging age. 10 was the absolute best... able to do for themselves but not yet trying to pull away. I think people [generally] are at their unadulterated best at age 10. People should be 10 forever.
