Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons.... John Crowther's Cartoon Odyssey

I think of it as The Fool's Journey. I've been asked who the "fool" is. It's me, but in the classical sense of the court jester. Only the fool was allowed to tell the king of his follies. All cartoons are available as prints or originals, framed or unframed, through my website or e-mail. It Wasn't Me

Click on image to view enlarged (though why one would want to is anyone's guess).

With all the talk about politics going on lately, I thought I'd get away from it briefly and deal with some lofty, sophisticated humor, something that would catch the interest of the average fifth grader. Of course, as with political subjects, it still leaves a lingering stench. From the The Fool's Rules: when passing gas in public make sure there's at least a third person present to blame it on. That or a dog.

Now this is indeed the epitome of sophisticated humor. My grandson while in the 3rd grade would crack up laughing every time someone mentioned his favorite book "Captain Poopy Pants", now in the 5th grade he is learning German and thinks the Germanic "exit" is the greatest word and uses it at the drop of a hat. This cartoon would probably have him laughing for hours. Can not beat the fine tuned humor of the male.

When I first went to Germany as an 18-year old with a group of school chums the word for passenger railroad car cracked us up big time.... it sounds just like "fart wagon."
